Trophy Care

The service

We come to you. Your trophies come back to life.

We come to your home, lodge or office and treat every trophy in your collection — you don't lift a finger. Based in Centurion, Gauteng — the only service of its kind, built on our own Skincare and Horncare formulations.

Where we work

Private homes

Trophy rooms, studies and living spaces — treated carefully around your furniture and your schedule.

Hunting lodges

Full-collection treatments that keep every mount guest-ready, from reception displays to trophy walls.

Offices & venues

Boardrooms, reception areas and corporate collections — maintained discreetly and professionally.

The process

Four careful steps. Every single mount.

01

Assess

We walk through your collection, check the condition of each mount and flag anything that needs a taxidermist before treatment.

02

Dust & clean

Every trophy is carefully dusted along the hair direction and wiped down — the gentle way, never with a vacuum.

03

Treat the skin

A fine mist of our Skincare Solution lifts dirt and bacteria, rehydrates the hide and restores the hair's natural lustre.

04

Finish the detail

Horns, hooves, lips, nose and eyelids are hand-finished with our Horncare Solution for a fresh, lifelike appearance.

Questions

Before you book.

What does the treatment involve?

Each trophy is dusted, cleaned and treated with Trophy Care's own Skincare and Horncare Solutions — the skin and hair are rehydrated, and the horns, hooves, lips and nose are hand-finished for a lifelike appearance.

Where do you operate?

We are based in Centurion, Gauteng, and travel to private homes, hunting lodges and offices across Gauteng and beyond by arrangement. How far we travel depends on the size of the job — get in touch with your location and collection size and we'll confirm availability.

How often should trophies be treated?

Regular maintenance is what keeps a trophy healthy for decades. Untreated mounts gradually dry out, crack and fade — especially in sunlit or dry rooms. We'll recommend an interval based on your collection and its environment.

Can you fix a trophy that is already cracked or discoloured?

No — and we'll tell you honestly. Trophy Care products are maintenance and care products, not restoration ones. A trophy that has already cracked or discoloured must first be repaired by a top-class taxidermist; after that, regular treatment keeps it in shape.

Do I need to prepare anything before you arrive?

Nothing at all. That's the point of the service — we bring everything and work around your space. If specific mounts are difficult to reach, let us know in advance so we can bring the right equipment.

Can I buy the products and do it myself?

Absolutely. Our Skincare and Horncare Solutions are made for exactly that, with clear instructions on every bottle. The on-site service is for those who'd rather have it done professionally — or have too many trophies to do alone.
